Cheap OBD II Scanner to Clear Codes?

Is there a cheap OBD Scan tool that will clear codes? I used to have one but it seemed to be limited in the codes it would find and it would reset the Service Engine light but not the codes.

Apparently there are generic codes, manufacturer-specific codes etc.

Powertrain codes
P0xxx - Generic
P1xxx - Manufacturer-specific
P2xxx - Generic
P30xx-P33xx - Manufacturer-specific
P34xx-P39xx - Generic
Chassis codes
C0xxx - Generic
C1xxx - Manufacturer-specific
C2xxx - Manufacturer-specific
C3xxx - Generic
Body codes
B0xxx - Generic
B1xxx - Manufacturer-specific
B2xxx - Manufacturer-specific
B3xxx - Generic
Network Communication codes
U0xxx - Generic
U1xxx - Manufacturer-specific
U2xxx - Manufacturer-specific
U3xxx - Generic

Might try disconnecting the battery for maybe an hour....see about it then....

worked on wife's Ford which is OBD2......

My scanner is old, so OBD1 which is all I need for my late 80's FI.....

check out the Bluetooth elm327 and free torque app download. Costs under $10.

Double check that the vehicle you want to use it on will work with the elm327. It does not do all OBDII Protocols last time I checked.

I bought a Autel MS802 All systems a few months back. Gave $210 for it new off ebay and so far am very impressed by the modules that it will read and the live data it will show. It's a little slow and clunky operating but doesn't carry a huge price tag so it works great for me.
Look at this on eBay [Only registered and activated users can see links. Click Here To Register...]

So, I bought a Autel AL519 for $60. It will read manufacturer specific codes and clears them.
