I hate driving out to see a piece of junk. Drove over an hour once to see a "rust free" diff. It looked like it was soaked in penetrating oil for a month and was all pitted.


Looks like all these ads are about the same car(coincidence maybe?). It's pretty rough and NOM

Original ad

1969 corvette convertible originally 427/390 4speed . Now has 396. Solid frame with surface rust. Original bonding strips intact. Purchased new fuel tank kit and I have the original tank sticker . and period correct quadrojet carb.has convertible top frame. All parts and emblems appeared to be With the car Front and rear bumpers. Tag indicates yellow/ black interior. Car needs restoration. Odometer shows 61,143miles and car was last driven 1993. 14,000 OBO

While trying to flip it with double the price is mean, if the entire frame is in the shape of the diff X member then this is a rather decent restoration base (for $7500) and the 15-20k figure is a big exaggerated.
Edit: the scary bit is that the fuel tank cover have seen a lot of ship, don't tell any good about the rest.
 
Amusing comment here.....I was married first time in '72, my house was built in '72, sold in Jan '73.......my vette is a '72.........and so I am age 72.....

It's a rust belt car, so I'm guessing the frame and birdcage is bad (no roof), since the gas tank is unusable.

But, you are right, $7500 might have been closer to the right price.
