were investigating the possibiity of adding an ABS system to the car.. Has anyone experiences in there..??

I know about the Bosch M4 kit, which is more of a professional race set up... But perhaps someone can tell me more..?

Let me know and thx!!

If you don't have any luck obtaining an electronic ABS system, you could use a mechanical lock resistant system from DPI. I've had really good luck with this. It simply installs in the rear brake line and helps prevent lock up under hard braking.

that thing was formerly made by stewart components, now it's a DPI part, they have a DPI sure stop brake recirculator also. I have 2 of these lock resistant brake valves, they work well

How come this system is not installed by default of any car that don't have ABS??
Seems simple thus cheap if mass produced.
I'm surely missing something here.

Well, ABS has been standard on US cars for quite some time .... thanks to the government. I'm not sure when this was developed, but I would say it comes down to dollars. Having this on a mid 80's car before ABS probably wouldn't sell anymore cars and would cost some money. As far as accountants go, every penny counts.

It's simply removes the initial pressure spike as the rear brakes engage. Just slows the rate of increase in pressure just enough to keep the rear brakes from locking up. It is very simple and it does work.

I installed it for running on the track during HPDE's, and it has worked great.
