16 volt batteries

So when replacing side post battery cables you just use a 3/8 eyelet or are you using special ends?

I use these for everything, really reliable, and usually the good knob disconnects and adapters for a top post.
I prefer the marine battery with the threaded studs. Makes it real easy.
If bolting to a side post, I've got some brass washers I put under the end so the bolt doesn't bottom out.
I'm not that fussy about batteries, just use whatever is handy.

Top posts are better. The connection is more sound, and the side post is more prone to acid leakage. My 2 cents.

All these years, and all these cars, I find the side posters to be much more corrosion resistant the top posters always have corrosion and need cleaning, the cables on my '72 are side posters, and LOOK like something a factory would use, not some aftermarket clamp on fitting, and they been there when I got the car...15 years ago....clean as new....
