I'm looking at doing some carbon covering of my engine's airboxes. I do however have some doubts the resin will hold up under the engine heat.

Anyone ever use an epoxy resin in a 195°F environment ?

Use an epoxy resin and you shouldn't have problems with heat. (My airboxes are CF and they haven't had issues) Just make sure you sand the aluminum with 80/60 grit and it is perfectly grease free before wrapping them. You could also drill holes in the aluminum, this will add a bit more stability.
