My wife wanted some gates each side of the house.
Of course I opened my big mouth and said "I can do that!"

Sooo it started as some ruff drawings on a napkin in a truckstop waiting for my lunch.

then rafined the drawings a bit more

then I sized up thing a bit more

Made up a board with actual size drawings for guidance,

Then we have a gate.
This is one side 10 ft wide 6 high with 2 doors.

Got one more to do.

Now if I could finish that and return to the car......

GATES? that size??

must be a nice ESTATE.....:clobbered:

OR you got a hell of a crime rate......

either way, they lookin' good....

:amazed:

10 feet wide 4 ft each side and 6 ft in the middle.
no estate, real quiet neighberhood, just me grinding and makin most of the noise.

cant wait to install it, probably next week.

Sounds like me in this hood, but no fences and gates on this block...

and I make most of the car related noise, easy....and construction noise too....

but none of that begins to rival all those small engines running things like leaf blowers, edgers, weed eaters, hate them damn things....:gurney:

Slow process but I managed to find time to install the hinges and finished cleaning up the welds.
Had to reinforce adding 2 by 2 square tubing where the hinges are on the doors.
Primed it and will paint it this week then install it next week end.
Hopefully

Not fast but hey I'm a trucker and gone most of the week.

I know I know the sandblaster box looks like crap, I'll paint it later.

Allright, a bit more progress.
We made holes, mixed some cement and installed it.

put a few jacks to make sure she wouldnt sink in before the cement was dried.
