During my research for a T56 swap somebody mentioned that using BB motor mounts on my small block will slightly lower the engine improving the driveline angle. Anybody ever do this?

I think that's actually a good idea. The BB frame pedestals for the engine mounts are shorter on BB Chevelles and Camaros, they also may be shorter on Corvette. That would give some much needed tunnel clearance. I don't know if it would be enough tho.

I'm not sure, a guy should probably check it, but there have been many BB/SB conversions on the same pedestals. Gm may have engineered it to fall between the tolerences :smash:

I heard for Corvette's the motor mounts are the same for BB vs. SB but this is not so for Camaro's apparently of the 68-69 years.
