Tried searching but all the search engines wont look for C6 or 19. I was able to find a few posts on what spacers people were running but id like to get a few more responses...
1980 vette, C6 wheels:
Fronts are 18x8.5 (i think?) with 255/40/18 tires
Rears are 19x10 with 285/35/19 tires.

Ive got the rears mocked up now and Im coming up with a ~3" spacer which seems to match another post I found. Parking brake will be extremely close in the stock position along with the T/A and the fender lip. Any confirmation on the 3" spacer for the rear?

the rears are et79 (offset 79mm), do the math to confirm but it's around 7" backspacing, stock C3 is 4".... so yes, 3" spacer makes sense.... personally I'd go with a 3 1/4 " just to be sure, cut the fender lip and it'll clear... or have a machine shop cut another 1/4" off ... it's easier to move the wheel in than out after you install a spacer (adapter) .... in other words: you can make the adapter thinner but not thicker....
I have a C6 so I know the offset is in fact 79mm, it's not google'd, it's what I actually read on my own stock C6 rims.... that's the 2005-2008 5-spoke rims....

Got this one wrapped up... I need to convince this guy to lower it at least a little bit as I think it looks a bit ridiculous at its current ride height. BUT overall I really like these wheels on the 80-82's and I think the color works really well with the polished rims.
So heres the final specs:
OEM C6 wheels 18x8.5 and 19x10
Falken FK453 255/40/18F 285/35/19R
Front spacers are 2.9" Rears are 3.1"
The rear fitment is perfect. I did have to relocate the parking brake, and it is a little close to the frame rail but it looks like they will just squeeze past the fender lip without rubbing.
The fronts are out a hair more than I would have liked but it looks like hes got a bit of positive camber pushing them out flush with the fender. They dont look like they will rub if I get the chance to lower it and get 1 or 1.5* of neg camber

That looks really, really good.

Here's a dumb question.. are there any potential negative effects from the spacers on wheel bearings or anything?

NOT as long as you keep the same wheel center, otherwise you are loading the bearings/suspension parts for increased wear, something I certainly am paranoid enough about with China parts already.....

:mad::bomb:

Some people prefer bolt-on adapters rather than spacers. IMHO, upgrading from 7/16" to 1/2" studs is more important than the difference between the two.

Is that a TRW spring? The rear ride height is a bit...high.
