I got to say that I read a lot of stuff from Stigner and on another site (mainvette) + Denpo gave me a few pointers on the matter sooo I didnt get any surprises and it was no big deal.

This is the reason I wanted to take out the front clip out

And I suspect that there is more rust where the firewall meets the birdcage, so next out will be the firewall to repair the birdcage.

the firewall was separated and water got in there soooo.

Birdcage looks pretty solid overall, any issues with it apart from that separation?

No it's not bad at all, theres a small hole in the passenger side lower windshield area but the rest is good and solid..
I'll post pics when I get the firewall out, as soon I have time this week.

Also theres another hole about 2 in by 3 inches at the passenger rear of the rocker near the wheelwell, I'll post pics when I get to it.
I'll have to get the fiberglass door jam cover out to be able to make a good patch.

Other than that, the cage is pretty clean, real happy about it.

How can I turn the image upsides up?

If I remember well you was planning on removing the firewall also.
Right?
No sure I'd be worth the effort.
