That is very cool!
 I am a woodworker and am curious what his project was that needed this unique treadmill sander!!!!Necessity IS the mother of invention!! Thanks for posting!

They're good sources for strong, PWM-controlled DC motors for use on drill presses, bandsaws, etc., too.
