i have bought a transgo 400 1-2 reprogramming kit for my mild 350 vette, just looking to firm up the shifts, not neck snapping loud chirps everytime.
has 3 areas of changes,
1st. the 1-2 "Shit Command" i wasn't going to worry about.
2nd. the "2nd Accumulator Valve" spring change, was going to fit the kit and then adjust springs as necessary after road testing.
3rd. last change is the "shift Firmness" is where i'm not so sure.
some on forums say to set up as police/taxi and drill plate out to 0.082" on 2nd feed hole, leave the 3rd feed as is and drill 3rd Accm to 0.125".
others say go to 0.093" on 2nd feed hole (comfort @ light throt and short @ heavy throt), and leave the 3rd feed and 3rd Accm as is.

what does drilling out the 3rd Accm feed hole to a larger size do?
why is it left as is on the higher set ups and opened out on the lower range?

any thoughts on what to do?
how have others set them up?

any problems with these kits to look out for?

thanks
