Welding upside down

It wasn't nearly as hard as I thought it would be

I just wish I had something to support my arms

This was my first time welding upside down

I didn't do one continuous bead because stuff was catching on fire and my arms and feet were getting burnt by the slag

I'll have to do the same thing... I upgraded to a "real" welder not too long ago, with my $150 Ebay flux core pos welder it was pretty much impossible to weld overhead.... :ill:
 
Looks like a clean job, you must have thoroughly removed the grime and dirt in the seam.
 
Are you wearing face protection?

I once cut myself in the knuckles with one of my grinders. None have the protective shield (they are a pita when you have to reach in a tight spot) and when I was done with it, I laid it down (disc up, never lay it down with the disc down) anyway it was still spinning and somehow nipped me in the hand :D Made for a nice deep gash.

Wire wheels are excellent for removing skin.
