Changing garage door opening Height.

Those coil springs are a pain to unload and load, also they can be dangerous.

HEHEH you mess with one of them coil springs along that overhead bar, you are putting mucho tension on them.....and if you don't handle those 2' long ~3/8 diameter bars just right as you flip them around, tightening that spring, you maybe wear one through your skull.....dead seriously.....

I have done many garage door installs in my home improvement trade, years ago....beeleemee when I say....no bullshit about it.....

you get the drift as you wind up the spring, feeling the tension, but you need be AWARE and SOBER.......

There have been a few threads over there about high lift conversions.

The Liftmaster 8500 side mount gets good reviews over there as well and I'm convinced enough that it will probably be my choice of openers for my new workshop.
