I am wanting to install my hood pins and was thiniking it would be straight forward and just drill the holes in the locating holes for the old mechanisms. I then realized that these areas are offset on one side more than the other. Could any of you with pins post picks of where you located the pegs and any special instructions that you may have done?

Thanks
Wade

You may not like it much, but my site has pix of the reverse hinged hood and pins in front holding it down, I made mine from 1/2 inch stainless bolts/nutz/washers and pins from a boating store...

the heads were cut off the bolts, and ground down with a belt sander while chucked in a drill press....

they are mounted on the original hinges on the most forward hole, and the hood drill to take the stud through to the top....

the washers are for rubbing and hide the odd holes on top....

I looked at all sorts of pin arrangments for the rear latch area also, instead of hinges, but never figgered anything out...so I just unbolted the whole mess and added hinges from a Olds Silouette mini van///chebby Lumina....
