Got my power windows working nicely except for one thing. When they are all the way up if the switch is held for ~1-2 seconds longer in the up position, the fuse will blow. Im generally pretty careful in making sure I dont hold it for too long, but Ive done it once or twice.
The wiring is somewhat different from stock, but the motors are stock motors.
The car has a painless wire harness with 2 power feeds both on a 20A fuse. Switches are from electric life modded to work for +12v up/+12v down. Motors are grounded with 12awg to the birdcage.
I have switched to a 30A fuse but the 20A would blow so "violently" that I dont really think a 30A is going to stop this.
I assume this is not normal... Newer cars dont blow fuses if the switch is held on. How do they do it? Limit switches?
