I seen an eldelbrock set up that allows the duel carbs to stay under the hood. Its their low profile kit. Does anyone have any information on this or have you tried it? I have a 383 stroker and I love the looks of them.

My Vette had that setup when I bought it. It fits under the hood and it works but I think its primarily for bling. I ended up pulling it and selling it. I'm running a Lars QuadraBog now and am very pleased.

Its more difficult to tune than what I have now and probably not quite as responsive as the Quadrajet. I was kidding with the Quadrabog comment. There really is no performance advantage with the dual quads. And you'll have to find a place to mount your coil.

I have the original hood because I didn't want to broadcast my motor. I purchased an elderbrock manifold and thunder series carb kit. It all stays under the hood. :0)
