IAC Motor Test

Quick closed loop test: insert jumper in the aldl and watch the CE light. If it blinks fast the ECU is probing the O2 sensor to see if it's heated up (zirconia permeable for O2), if that has happened the voltage will be somewhere between 0.2 and 0.8V and about .45 for stoich. This will be visible on the CEL by a slow flickering light (every other second or so), that's a cross count, where the voltage passes .45

So, slow flickering = closed loop, fast = open loop.

IAC positions and all that are not representative for actual conditions, jumpering the ALDL puts it in test mode so as soon as you pull the jumper the iac positions will most likely change.
