Can anyone tell me where the centre of gravity is on a C3? Trying to work out 4-bar placement. Thanks

The F/R weight distibution on a C3 is 53% front, 47% rear if I remember correctly. This is depending on BB/SB and other things.

I've seen a diagram of a C2 Coupe that indicated that the CG was about 18 inches up.

Those two together should get you pretty close.

While I have no definitive data (I'm sure Marck does though), but I think there are some other minute differences depending on years/drivetrain. For instance there's probably a good 50# difference between a iron diff/leaf spring in the pre-81 years and the 81-82 aluminum diff/fiberglass spring. Plus, some of the earlier years, not sure where the cut off is, the 4-speed was an iron case versus later models with the aluminum case. In the grand scheme of things, these differences probably equate to less than a 1% difference. But if you're worried about such things, maybe you want to take that into consideration.

Thanks guys.. My problem is that I am trying to work out the placement of a 4 link rear using a F**d 9" axle. I have a Dart 400 block and 6-71supercharger, so I suppose weight wise it's not far off a BB with ally heads???? It's also running an uprated TH400. I've seen the 4-Link kit that seems to be popular, but they wont sell parts (Brackets) separately!(why????), so I'm making my own up...hence the original question. Cheers
Ps. the car is a '75 Chassis with a 72 shell.

I'll suggest maybe checking out SPEEDWAY - Or other lefthanders, Allstar Performance, DAY. etc. You might find brackets and a heap of bits to move the projo along.
Just cause they 'tend to race only anti-clockwise--- doesn't mean they don't know how to build! Here are a few links to scope out:

Misc bracketsa to consider:

Best of luck on sourcing your parts!
