well car started running poorly and i went through the electrical and fuel supply and cleaned up some areas that i had needed to go back to with the ballast ignition circuit and determined that the old 97 carb needed more help then i could give it. i realize now that when i put the new fuel filter in the back of the car i never flushed the fuel line so i think i pumped some crude that had collected in the fuel line right into the carb. heres the old 97 on the way to the shop to get a rebuild....

somebody is going to enjoy this ..... it's an awesome car, I wish I had the space for more "projects" LOL

what are you buying next ? another Vette ???

you know i think i am turning into a premadonna......as strange as this sounds I think I actually like working on only one car in the garage at a time. i get to open the car doors fully and can swing the car jack around freely and actually enjoy the open space of the garage with out crawling over anything. i guess after sharing the garage with two cars and a motorcycle for the past 6-7 years I am honestly looking forward to only the 77 vette in there now. In fact last night I moved the vette to more in the middle and was just smiling the whole time. I guess as I get older the atmosphere in the shop adds to the enjoyment. Now i can tell you i remember vividly all those years of working outside when i didnt have a garage and getting wet and cold and being miserable, so i guess I am getting soft and spoiled complaining about being cramped in a heated well lit garage....jeez I am turning into a premadonna. whats next a cadillac?????
