Took my BB to the engine builder last week.

http://www.zekesauto.com/en/index.html

They took it apart hot tanked the block and heads, magnafluxed it.
It has never been taken apart, still had the original gaskets on the intake.

So far so good, nothing's cracked and everything's in really good shape.
Later this week I'll take time to sit down and start to make a plan to rebuild.

Still got to bring him the pressure plate and the Rochester to rebuild it.

Yeah I know I'm taking lots of time.

I own my truck and at 5 bucks a gallon for diesel last year, I kind of took a beating.
sooo it's one thing at a time.

I"m looking at a step son's 318 in a 3/4 ton van that is GAWN also....

as in really GAWN....

so looking for a used engine....crazy...

Since I wanted to keep the heads and intake, bring the compression up a bit, it was at 8,33:1 we brought it up to 9,45:1. using KB Hypereutectic pistons bored at .030 over.

heads were ported, intake valves were enlarged a bit to make it breathe better.
cam was changed to a Crane 272/272, Lift .515/.515

Cant wait to hear it run.
