Gedankenexperiment: Rear mounted radiator

Here are a couple of interesting comparisons:

As an aside, approach "D" is somewhat like what Glen - Love-is-Blue did on the rear of his Vette. Note ther is little drag savings - yet 1/2 the volume of air. Maybe that is why he used 2 radiators? -- Oh, no --they were 1/2 size too?

I believe in the comparison show above the radiators are the same size.
And, here is another one to think on:

ANd an implementation that seems effective:

What's the label/units on the top bar chart? I can't read it.

This chart is shamelessly lifted from the text, "Fundamentals of Vehicle Dynamics." I'd like to get my hands on the source which is:

The asian text I took the original posting from had the axis labeled as Delta CWK, which is associated with turbulent flow, and could be comparatively related to drag. The other text is clearer and you can see is Cd.

Hope that helps.

Here's a car you guys need to go over. However, by the time it was built, Porsche had a stranglehold. IMSA tried everything to break it, rule changes, class changes..

The red and white 82 and the solid red 82 is the Forrest/Landis/Agee car, I bought a few year back as a rolling chassis, which has the 5 link quick change. Hopefully the original body molds (69 BP) for this car, will be in good hands before long.

Here what little info there is on the Joe Chamberlain IMSA car.
