My wife has a 1999 miata 10AE model which comes with all the good stuff like limited slip, bilsteins, and 6 speed. previous owner had lowered but springs were too soft.

I took the rears off and found bump stops were trash also. Once the shock was off I found the spring perch can be removed from the shock and they use coil over type snap ring on the body. Had to remove old perch locating tab with hack saw.

Bilsteins are slightly narrower body than US coil overs but Coleman makes an adapter ring allowing me to use standard threaded sleeves, 7x2.5 in spring and spring seat. Bump stop is use as a spring so selected spring to match new spec miata bump stops. Now I can easily change out springs and ride height.

Front was a bigger job and will update that soon.

As you maybe know, Winn-Dixie food stores here have some fuel perk promo scheme going, so when it gets to be over 50cents/gallon we go fill up both/any vehicles up to the 20 gallon max....ten bux savings as above....

so I driver her Miata with the girly beads around the RV mirror, top down, she in the Escort ahead of me, she pulls in and on the way there I spy her pink sun visor....so I put it on, back in after her tail/tail so we can use the same hose and get all 20 gallons.....

she glances at me and about fell over in the breeze.....

so upon leaving she sez see you later hun, I say bye, and so when I finish to leave, the guy on the other side of the island, driving a pickup, says....'later sweetie'.......

:lol::lol::twitch:
