C3 Rear-end rebuild update

So the trailing arm got delivered to the wrong house so i'm gunna have to hold off the rebuild till thanksgiving but i got some work done.

In this pic you can see where the PO damaged the trailing arm with a torch at the bottom of the main base.

Looks like you're a busy beaver :) Are you going to do the diff or is it tight? I'll move it to projects. (looks like it was already moved)
 
Also, what year is your car? Is it an 80-82 original Dana44 diff equipped car? You have the wrong strut rods, you need them with the angled ends.
 
The diff is going to be done in the future, i can feel slight play in it but should be good enough to get me around town for now. The strut rods are correct, its just at a bad angle. Its the stock diff so were all of the 80-82 dana44's? also its an 81.
 
Bit of work to remove all those parts, clean and refinish. Looks good so far. Do you plan to apply any finish to the batwing and diff?
