Glass T-top refurbishing

I'm trying to refurbish my glass T-tops with new weatherstrip, seals etc. Have some questions :
- how do you get the remains of the old seal that are glued off ?
- how do you repair scratches in the black paint on the glass ?

I have found this stuff works well:

then bought 4 of these from autozone and just used them on mt drill.

For those that want to know, I've gotten myself some black primer that is used combined with the glue of windshields. Some sort of cotton tool to paint it on the glass and finished.

Now I just need to find a way to get the T-tops to fit.:banghead:

One of my to-do plans today is to figure out a better way of holding my t-tops on (and holding them square to the car)... I hate the latches and that rear triangle pin
