Under my dash, spliced onto the brake light switch wires. (The brown cylinder with black tape on on the left.) Printed on it is "MGT 105 .47 MFD 200 V.D.C. +- 10%". A radio interference capacitor? I have no radio. There is no interference capacitor on the OEM wire provided for that RPO. I don't recall if there ever was, I don't think so.
I'd just as soon remove this if it's not doing anything.

Had similar crap in my '72, methinks it was to cancel/help reduce various ticks and pops in the old AM radios or maybe even the FM also.....remove and toss, for sure not doing anything today as they rotted over the decades, and ceased function.....used to replace them by the hundreds in old vacuum tube electronic daze gawn past.....

My 77 has an early 90s radio in it, and it has terrible ignition whine. One of these days I've got to get the shielding replaced.
