Well, so it seems that there is some RPM related vibration coming from the engine, noticed most easy at the frame mounted shifter....

thought it maybe was driveshaft related, angles, etc...but so it seems that when my foot is in it, I not paying that much attention....

but when exceeding 2500 rpm....which is over 80 mph on my car...the shifter really takes off....so I slowed down and played with it in 3rd and second, revving it up to 2500-3000 and sure enough the vibration is pretty BAD....

not noises or anything unusual up front...everything LOOKS happy....

so the inevitable question.....it's a '89 roller engine, with a 200 4r in back....

starts and runs good, dunno how long this vibration has been there, since I really don't rev it up all that much, and like I said when I do, I busy doing other shit, not feeling the shifter, or noting vibrations...

so any ideas how to trace this down without spending billions I don't have..??

it's a junkyard flex plate, has a counterweight on it....

everything on center, converter will spin like easy if unbolted....

tempted to unbolt converter and run engine up without it....but never having done that before, dunno what to expect....suspect I need to pull the housing back also....get that snout off the crank....

anyone??
