84 vette stock alternator output verses a 82

How many amps was the 84 vette alternator verses the 82. I'm converting to a 84 serpentine system and was just curious if the stock 84 output will keep up with running twin electric fans on my 82. Should I look into a higher amp one? I want to stay with the 84 style verses upgrading to avoid any issues involved with this conversion because I want to stay with the integral 84 power steering resevoir for one.

The alt should be fine, but the good upgrade is a CS144 I got one from a junkyard for my motor home.....runs fine, needed a regulator chip, woopie doo.....140 amp rating, overkill for any vette, I dont remember what the '84 vette came with, but if the regulator connection is different than the white plug inline connector of the 70's than you probably have a CS130, which has a poor reputation, but a rebuilt maybe ok, dunno, I just pulled a 144 and got over it for 25 bux....
