Hysterically speaking, the engine I always wanted to bolt into one of them things was that Olds/Buick/Landrover 215 CI Aluminum V8 that GM came out with in early 60's.....Mom had a '63 Olds F85 4dr Sedan....i'ts the car that sat in the garage for about 25 years and rusted to nearly nothing had about 35K miles when I replaced the entire braking system, and sold it....engine ran ok after the carb was rebuilt....
LRover put DPFI on it, dunno if it's still in production or not....
IF I wasn't a damn 6'5" tall, I would be driving a Little Zipper like one of them thing with that V8 in it.....as it is I had to modify the seating/interior of my '72 to accomodate my lousey skeleton....:smash::smash::crap:
