70' Convertible 6 Liter LQ4 My Way

I'd like to offer a big THANKS to sssuch. I've been on the fence about what to put in my '69 T-Top for a while. I hate hydraulic clutch systems and this build really takes out so much guess work. I picked up my LS engine this afternoon.

Not one doubt that if I had to do it over again, an LS with injection would be my choice, my son in California took over his FIL's '57 chebby pickup, and is on the truck forum with his LS conversion, been at it for a few years now....but got it all finalized now.....

Nice truck. I've got a '54 Ford pickup with a '57 Olds in it waiting for something more modern.

Now that the weather is getting warm again , time to get back to work. The Motor in My Car has the bat wing oil pan from a C5 , what I wanted was a C5 LS-6 oil pan . I found a new one for $40.00 about 10 years ago , and it's been hanging on the wall ever since. Took it apart the other day and washed all the Mouse turds and Mud Dauber wasp nests out of it. Then removed the casting flash and polished the inside nice and smooth so Oil will drain good. I stopped at 320 grit , figured that is good enuf :D

I"m so jealous over all them LS engines running loose out there, and so maybe I should have put off my L98/LT engine for a few years....but no sense in tearing out a good roller engine at this point...much less, I"m too lazy these daze.....
