I have disassembled the top part of motor to port intake on my 84 c4 crossfire, distributor/tb's/radiator hose etc... Ended up just matching the intake to heads then started putting everything back together. Got the timing down, backfiring and all the pops as usual when timing...and then...

I took top parts of motor apart to port intake including distributor obviously and now while trying to start it, timing is off and is backfiring. What is a simple trick to set the timing back for it yo run? I got all anxious to cruise in it and now its off! Help please :s :suicide:

Crossfire injection c4 84 corvette The intake gasket has little metal squares covering the coolant jackets, and they ripped off my gasket while removing it. What are these? I think there were 2 or 3 of em. And will they come with the new gasket set once I purchase? Thanks!!
