Doing an engine change on the 63. Wanting to use the Howard Stewart water pump with a 3/4 shaft that's on the engine. But my clutch fan shaft pilot hole is 5/8. Do they make an adapter or only a spacer? Thanks.

Call Stewart. I needed spacers behind my pulley and they put them in the mail. Regardless, they should have an answer for you.

Use a fan clutch for the later C3 corvettes ~1970 when they switched to the 3/4" water pump shaft. Or, use a C2 water pump.

3/4" Copper pipe should be pretty close to a perfect donor for a shim.

You tell me, how are you going to shim up a 3/4 shaft to fit in a smaller 5/8 hole?

I used a M19 drill when I was in the same pinch after getting a stewart pump. Pulleys, fan.. not a prob. 3/4 is a hair larger than M19 but the drill will not drill to that size but a little oversize. Makes for a nice tight fit
