I have a Mcleod flywheel for my big block and it has a hole for a dowel from the crank but I dont know if I should have one or not. I did a google but nothing comes up for bbc flywheel dowel. Can someone confirm one way or the other?
Thanks

Have what or not? A dowel in the crank? If the crank has no dowel, just line up the extra unused hole with the extra hole in the crank flange. It's just for positioning.

The flywheel will only bolt up in one position, with or without the dowell.

Sorry for not replying earlier guys I didn't get a new post indicator for this thread. Its internal balance. I was just wanting to make sure I didn't need a dowel since the holes were there. I got everything installed now I'm just waiting on the longer piston for my Mcleod hydraulic throwout bearing that I had to pay an extra $80 for.
Thanks for replying
