I switched to Vortec heads not the A/C Compressor Bracket doesn't have enough holes in it. The other side has the same holes and I need them there. Can I drill and tap the hole I need in the end of the head for the accessory?
What could I drill into?
Water Jacket?
Worse?
-Thanks,
Charlie

This is the first I have heard of this. I have heard about people drilling them for older intakes but not for accessories.

Had no problem with my Vortec heads. Now the intake manifold was a diffrent story. Got a 3/8 16 flat head screw drilled the intake for the compressor support. countersunk the bottom put a nut on top

accessory holes

Yeah,
It has the proper holes on the other end of the head but I can't mount an accessory off the back! I am thinking there should have been a LH and RH head and mine are the same so I??
So either drill out the hole or see if there is an other head.
-Thanks,
Charlie
