Doesn't apply to Corvette, however many own metal models also.
Fifty years ago and no doubt all that "cutting edge" old design technology went in the toilet with today tech.
What is sad - is all those sub assembly plants like Guide, Saginaw, Harrison, AC Delco etc are gone. Viewing those chrome door handles, interior hard and soft trim parts - those jobs are elsewhere now. The stock holders and politicians sold out USA jobs.
Last assembly plant I visited was Bowling Green in June 1981 when the changeover from St Louis began.
