Kindig 53 Corvette Ridler Award

The Kindig '53 Corvette won this year's Ridler award. A hand-fabricated, all aluminum body powered by a V-12 using LS technology and C7 drivetrain. He also has permanent molds for a carbon fiber '53 body that only weighs 70#. If I were starting a track car build today, that body would be my choice.

The undocumented fabricator in me is impressed at the ability/skill of Kindig's crew. They do some unique projects at times.

OTOH, the documented engineer in me just sees expensive potted plants that will require frequent dusting.

Nice build video. Amazing work.

I'll have to watch his show. I have avoided those types of shows because there is to much talking and not enough work. I used to record them and fast forward the non building parts. You could watch a 1 hour episode in 15-20 min.

I'm completely a fanboy of Kindig design. To the point I can't talk to the man at SEMA - just blubbering. Their stuff is amazing. With that said, that is the size of a C3....
