I need new spark plugs. But there are so many choices. I was wondering why, what is the thing behind them? I currently have r41 plugs, in a 454, hookers and Hei.

Most of the splitfire and whatever is snaky oil. Get some regular delcos or autolites and be done with it. R44 or 45s should be fine.

R45TS:
R = Resistor type
4 = Thread Size (14mm)
5 = Heat Range (0-9)
C = Copper Core
E = Special Design Electrode, Extended Tip
L = Long Reach
M = Special Design Electrode
S = Extended Tip
T = Tapered Seat Shell Design
X = Wide Gap
Z = Special Gap
6 = 0.060" gap
8 = 0.080" gap
