Will this tranny work?

Still debating on putting the original Turbo 400 in the 68 Vert with the late model LT! or going with an OD tranny. Found this 700R4 at a fairly good price out of a 99 Chevy pickup. Will it work? And what all would have to be modified/changed for it to go in the 68? Thanks!

You are better off with a 200 4r, really....

but it will work, but I think that should be '89 not '99, as 4L60e was the version of same thing by then....
