Has anyone replaced their oil pan in a L81 , I'm having a hard time trying to find a replacement.

I bought a really cool Moroso kickout pan when I was doing all the high speed open road driving. I put it on , lowered the car off the jacks and said "Oh hell no...".

There wasn't but two inches between the pan and the road and after the disatarious experiment with the Long truck oil filter I took the pan right back off.

My point is that Corvettes seem to be different than camaros so be cautious what you select.

Canton has nice pans with kickout sumps, never a problem with those

I put the Moroso 7qt pan on my late model block when I installed it in my '81. It's lower than I would like but still not lower than my scatter shield. I would like to go with the Canton pan like what TT suggests, but budget-wise I was in the $120 range rather than the $320 range. Sucks that money has to be such a factor.

Milodon makes one that is exactly like stock. The Chrome Chinese ones leak.:chinese:

Steve, I think you're right. That one looks like the one I have too. Except mine is no longer for an L-81, but a late Gen1 roller/1-piece rear main motor.
