Is there a digit in the vin of an 82 corvette that desiginates whether it is the Collectors Edition or not?

I don't know. The paint code was "59"

the 6th digit is a 0 for the CE.
9th digit is a security code and varies
vin tag 00017 is very rare if you have it,it is worth some buck's,according to GM it was lost and never built.

Too late...missed it. It went for 3100 and in pretty good shape from the pictures. Thanks anyway
