Can my 82 Dana44 be mounted to a 1990 dana36 batwing with an adapter?

Also will 1990 halfshafts mount to my 82 dana44?

Or is the dana36 stronger anyways and waste a time to try and adapt it?

I believe the C3 D44 is a bit stronger, but the C36 will survive a decent amount of horsepower if you stay away from the shock loads (drag racing).
