A very healthy engine......

Drove from O-town to Cocoa Beach last weekend. With the TKO600 5spd it's a blast to drive the car on the highway, 70mph at just a little over 2000rpm..... water temp at the thermostat was constantly at about 200 degrees, never went past the 210 mark.....oil temp at 215-220.... water temp at the rear of the passenger side head was 190..... pretty good for a hot Florida day I suppose....

I was checking out your gauges and liked them alot. My eyes are bad (not good) and I just assumed they were AutoMeter. Your red leather seats made me jelous, very nice. The steering wheel...very cool and lots of leg room. I have that same trans in my 69, now if I can ever stop fixin the 79, I'll have time to finish it.:thumbs:

The oil temp is taken at the rear chinese wall, I'll add a oil temp pickup when i get around to installing the new 7qt pan....

The steering wheel is 280mm (11")

I have to whole-heartedly agree with the TKO set up, that overdrive gear is BANGIN'!!! I was out for a long cruise yesterday, even wound it up to 110 briefly and wished I had lots more road (and more nerve) to go faster....
