Mine was just a random act of vandalism because the car was parked where absolutely no one knew me nor had a grudge. Killed were 4 new 275/40zr/17 tires. This was on my 97 camaro and the hassles involved were a royal pain in the ass.

It had to be towed 82 miles, being that I dropped my comprehensive on my car sometime back I got stuck with the bill. Luckily I found a tire shop that patched the sidewalls enough to hold air and put those rims back on my 90 corvette and took its ZR1 rims and put them on my camaro.

Monday I am going to call the insurance company and put comp back on my car.

However the 17x9.5 and 17x11 ZR1's really really look nice on my camaro !!!!

I can relate. I had a neighbor who's grandson thought he was upholding the family honor by vandalizing my mini-van. many a morning I came out to flat tires done in by an ice pick. I finally caught him and his cousin one day, the cousin was a Camden NJ fireman. A letter to the Mayor of Camden brought a quick end and a personal apology for the trouble. I never did get paid for the tires though.

NOT like it's a new event, I remember in our first apt. the first ex and I, early 70's off loaded a carfull of crap and got a TOW truck called for our car just unloading, and so the very next few daze....

a Camaro had all 4 wheels stolen, left on the pavement, and I dunno about the logistics of THAT one....jack the car up, fine, pull the wheels off fine, so how in hell you getting any jacking device out from UNDER the car??

but they did....:gurney:

Damn, man, that seriously sucks. I live in mortal fear of coming out one morning and finding all the tires on my vehicles slashed. That would be thousands of dollars.
Wish you could find the fucker that did it and slash his ass.

How did they patch the sidewall. Was it a puncture and they plugged it? You're using them now for the vette that's just sitting?

.

sidewlls should never be patched if you want to take that tire past 35 mph.....

Okay ... The sidewall was patched just so tire would hold air while tires are on my 90 vette. I took the ZR1 rims and new tires off my 90 vette and put them on my camaro
