are date coded windows important to a restorer?

I am thinking about selling or trading my july 1970 convertible windows or trading since date codes don't really matter to me since my car is an 82 anyways. Would the july windows only be good for a july built car to be correct or could the windows have been found on another month car?

lastly how much would they be worth to a restorer?

Yes, they do matter to the right person. Window dating can be as far as one year before the build date of the car and still be accepted as original. Convertible windows are not the same as the coupes. Probably an easy sell.

my hardtop appears to be dated 10/14/70 but the windows dated all july 70. The color on my top appears to be 1971 brands hatch green. So these appear to probably be the original glass installed?

This stuff is all on a 1982 convertible conversion. Dated glass obviously no concern to me so figured there might be a restorer of a 70-71 that could use it in trade for the wrong dated glass.
