Arlington flyover

Grew older in the Wash DC region, so having two relatives buried in Arlington, have known the place for a while......

age 53 I moved to Florida in '97, met/married wife here, she is a Florida native, not traveled much, and so when we dating yet, we took off for DC, and the sites....stop #1 was Arlington Cemetery....so changing of the guard, and the Kennedy grave, and some others......

and so we did the rest of the tourist crap, visited many old friends and BS's around for a week or so.....

on the way south, we were on the road maybe into S. Carolina.....and I thought to ask what she remembered most about all the sites....thinking of the WH/CAP/Wash Nat. Cathedral, etc......but no....first words without hesitation was ARLINGTON.....

Ya know you got a good woman at that point.....

thats awesome, i live about 4 miles from there and work 1/2 mile from there i see the Presidents Helicopter and fly overs all the time. although come to think about not many fly overs recently. it was really cool when the space shuttle piggy back on a big ass jet circled the city. people just stopped thier cars and got out to watch it. and no one honked
