Hello,
Just spent the day putting the body back on my frame, all went well! Do the valve covers from GMPP clear the firewall or do the need to be notched? I am certain I have seen the valve covers on other BBC however, never noticed if they had a notch or I did something wrong?
Thank you in advanced.

You may have some clearance issues between a BBC tall cover and the brake booster.

I don't even have the booster on yet, I was going to run a hydro boost. It's hitting the firewall where the booster connects to. Is there anyone on this forum who has a BBC and these covers?
 Thanks again BBShark Always quick to answer my questions.

I have the vette low curved covers on my 70BB. I don't see how the GMPP covers would fit without hitting the the box area of the firewall where the booster mounts.

Tall covers on the big block in mine with the stock size booster and they don't touch anyplace, including the firewall. Just don't be in a hurry if you have to take them off.

Any chance you can snap a picture? I have a custom cross member and it has not been finalized yet, so I am thinking the engine will be pushed up.

I've got a tall deck 427 in mine at the moment with Cal Custom valve covers. I guess they're considered a tall cover, but to me look like they're closer to a mid height cover if there is such a thing. They clear my poly locks where the late model BBC covers do not. However, the cover will not clear the brake booster (just a bit too high). Never decided whether I was going to modify the cover to clear or switch to hydraboost. Going back with a SBC now, so that problem may go away for me. With a standard deck height, the Cal-Customs WILL clear as I've seen them on a few different 427 and 454 Vettes.
