Hi Guys,

A heads up : Morel is one of the top tier suppliers of lifters.

Seems someone is selling knock off Chinese copies. There is a thread over at speedtalk about this.

Be warned.

Like all of us, how in the EFFING HELL am I supposed to know WTF is what anymore??

Like the lower ball joints on my '72, lousy 4 years and maybe 20k miles, and shot yet again.....shit gets old....REAL old, :cussing::cussing::cussing:

I think we should start manufacturing cheap shit, put it in first class packaging and give it right back to the fucking chinese :pprrtt:

Only thing you need to do is build machines that quit now and then and ship that to China. China only imports machinery - investment goods because they a; don't have the expertise b; know that they get problems if they build them.

There's a better way - simply change our currency. Value the "old" currency at zero, and exchange it for new currency. Don't let China change its currency for the new stuff.... done. We'll be just like Zaire except we have the ability to make the stuff that we're having China build for us now.

After all, by holding our money, China is a creditor - if we make the paper worthless, what's China going to do? a war? yeah, they know what MAD is too.

But they don't import US machinery; mainly Japanese.

At the risk of turning this into a political thread, I think this is a prime example of the economic leverage we have against them. We have accumulated so much debt by trading good money for shit products. What about the lost American revenue from stolen technology and counterfeit goods? The Chicom government may not be behind it all but they certainly turn a blind eye to companies that bring in American dollars (and British pounds and Euro, etc).

economic leverage?

It starts with the average Joe...... only if the general population stops buying this shit we might see improvement.... people buy Kia, people buy at WalMart, because it's cheap.... just today I was at a Northern Tool store, except the Gatorade and the BeefJerky by the register I did not see a lot that was not made in China..... well, I bought their ALC sandblaster that is "proudly made in the US", it's about twice the price of the (exact) China knockoff that they also sell. I wish the quality was twice as good but sadly it is not....

The hell they don't, in Shippensburg Pa. a local plant that made road construction gear, I think it was Allis Chalmers, they would send right down my sister's street, about 6-8 heavy units on trailers, all heading to China.....this is every morning all week long, went on for years....they building roads and a interstate highway system just like ours.....

:shocking:

I'm sure they import some they can't get anywhere else but I've never seen any US stuff over there. There really isn't that much machinery made here anymore plus shipping from Japan to China is a lot cheaper than shipping from the US. Of course now that they're pissed at Japan that all may change.

Yeh, this was all 20-25 years ago, so who knows what's today, for all I know it's all dried up....have to ask my sis, she was up there fairly recently, maybe the topic came up with her old friends....funny how entertainment junk is made cheeper and cheeeeeeeeeper to facilitate SALES of other merchandise and so they are the whore boys of the world......

SO much easier to do chips than tractors.....

Yes guys, you spotted the problem!

By the way Chinese will not buy from Japan.... they really hate them.

As someone of you may know my job is to produce Laser cutting systems for industry and 5 years a go we decided to open a manufacturing plant in China, in order to able to sell to Chinese.
No way to export there from Europe (or from Italy, where I live) because they aren't ready to pay our prices...... so, now, we produce some 15 system per month in China for the Chinese market.
My direct experience is that the average skill is very poor.... they really dont understand why things must be done well and with method.... but they have money and we are doing our best to bring as much as possible of their money here.

We have to stop to buy anithing coming from China..... 50% of western money now is there!!!!!!!!!

Only my two cents....

until they know how to build them, copy them and screw you out of the market there and next in the rest of the world... that's how they operate, they steal other's research and design and with slave labour and shitty materials flood the external markets with their junk

when I order from summit the boxes come full with page upon page of documentation where the stuff originates, it's mostly PRC shit.. and mexico is a big source also (and this is ordering name brand stuff, not known chinese junk!)

I just heard that the Chinese stock market was going down on accounts of a naked real estate bubble.

The question will be how far our banks are involved in Chinese real estate. I wouldn't want to much of our tax money going there...

Yeh, a news show on TV here, 60 minits I think, they did a segment on that shituation.....they went nutz building new living spaces, apartments, houses, all that housing no one could afford, moving shanty towns outta the way next to some dozens of cities, and tried to 'great leap forward' their housing, trick is, no one moved in....so they lie empty....

:crutches::(
