im on holidays... im a welder by trade, so thought i would flame paint my welding shield... dead easy, and just about anything can be flamed....
a coat of a ford meatlic blue pearl....

bit of masking up

blending paint...(trouble is the paint bled through the masking tape...cheap stuff.D'OH

outline and clear coat.... used spray tins from hardware shop, with a good quality clear... total cost? 10 bucks...and 3 days.

thats the point.... for a welding helmet, it will do... it will only get scratched up anyway.... might do a letterbox one day.
heythere an idea.... ive got a pic of a custom made letterbox, built by a hot rodder...will dig it out...incredible bit of gear... i would be too scared to put it outside.

Yeh, we use RFD type boxes here too, I have thought the old one there is kind of tired, but then again, so am I.....

wondered what to do, thought of making a stone pile like some others....

hear we go....this was a raffle prize...5 bucks a ticket, with all procedes to charity...the bloke spend many hours building this.... some craftsmen out there for sure. but he is a hot rodder after all...he made all of it.... all aluminium.
