I came across a cast iron high rise intake. Has the bowtie casting on the rear. Ran the numbers, was a over the counter intake from GM in 1993, thats all the info I could find. Casting # 14096242. Anyone know the application or specs?

This Chevrolet Factory Bow Tie part is the best stock cast iron
4 barrel cast iron intake manifold available

In stock form this Chevrolet cast iron intake manifold will produce more power between 4500 and 7000 rpm than any other stock Chevy cast iron intake manifold. Commonly referred to as a “Marine” intake, this manifold is a cast iron copy of a Z-28 high rise aluminum intake. This "Marine" cast iron intake is equipped with both carburetor bolt patterns, is 1.250" taller than regular intakes and was not available – in cast iron form – on any production cars.

AND meant for salt/sea water cooling....

some guys here learned the hard way you can NOT use aluminum for that purpose....but IMO....I would not have a auto engine boat without a heat exchanger....:crap:

Thanks for the info, guess I'll drag it home.

We sell that intake here a CI. I've looked it over, and found it to be a very nice intake. If you want a CAST IRON intake this is the one.
