Can a 69 long style L88 hood fit a 82?

Found one pretty cheap but have heard about hood hinge and hood latch differences. Or could the skin be rebonded to my 82 hood frame or is because the 69 had fender chrome would this cause a difference in how it looks on my 82 verses a hood designed to fit my 82?

78-82 has the later style latches, apart from that it will fit just fine..the L88s are all the same looks wise

hard to do. Why not use hood pins in the rear, problem solved

I did it with mine a while back. I ended up selling the L-88 hood but all you need to do is drill a couple holes in each of the latches and tap them for the bolts. Then bolt on the catches, make sure everything lines up and off you go. Not a problem.
