Default Apology to U.S. Corvette
To all Forum Members:

Quite a while ago, there was a post about U.S. Corvette and its owner Mr. Moncrief (sp?). I chimed in with my opinion, which was less than positive. I have since received two phone calls threatening to sue me for defamation over my remarks. I have deleted the comment and I want to take this opportunity to retract my statement and issue an apology to Mr. Moncrief.

Good to know he is actively defending his reputation.

He sceered you, huh?? This is America, and we are entitled to our opinions. I can't see how anyone can sue you for that. If that were the case, I guess everyone else on the linked post should also say...I'm so sorry sir!! You are the greatest. Please forgive me!!

His reputation speaks for itself.

He has allegedly sold misrepresented products and even been sued for it. "F" him and the horse he rode in on. It's a free country.

This is what happens when you make a comment about a guy who is a used car saleman and a failed lawyer.
After I was threatened with the same thing from FlastCorvette I learned what the gray areas are in "slander" lawsuits. You must be specific to be sued. "He" or "they" is not specific enough regardless of what someone assumes.

I know a good bit about slander suits here in Florida, as I used just exactly that tactic very publically against 3 crooked business partners in a hotrod shop here locally.....forcing one of the men to sue for slander.....they stole so much money it's pathetic, this all in '98, so by Y2K, I went public with the situation by passing out leaflets at cruise nights, VERY public, flat out calling them ALL crooks, and got mucho old customer support for doing so....anyway, even some ex friends of that group were on my side, to my face anyway....

so one of the guys sued, I filed for the company paperwork, judge signed off on it, bank complied with the order, I got my proof of the crookedness.....the guy who sued....died of throat cancer, and his wife died of cancer a few months later....true....

another business thing with Douglas K. Johnson of Corvette Museum fame, there is a brick there for him....he was a crook also....when he was sick with brain cancer he finally told the truth in another case, even though he was primarily instrumental in the case....I lost more money.....

I don't learn good....put it that way....Jan 15th of 2000, I should have sold every damn investment I had and not done a thing, stuck it in the CU and called it a day....but NO....

SO, I learned one thing, in most states you can call anyone anything very publically, and if they can't disprove it, they dead meat....

which is why I took the course of action I did....got the evidence I could not get in any other way.....

so I figger he was VERY publically humiliated shortly before his death bed, and his wife too....EFF EM, forever......

I know where he is buried, going to go piss on his grave someday....

before I settle score with one other guy.....

:bounce::devil:
